The Idol of Wealth

Rev. Lee introduced our new American Idols series with a story about the “Idol” of wealth. She shares a story about a real estate investor who chooses to overlook the opportunity for making vast profits, and instead focuses on building up a community of committed neighbors.

WellCome Back Sunday

Rev. Lee and Ministerial Intern, Beth Monhollen, have organized a special blessing and “refreshing” for us this week. Congregants were invited to bring in a house plant and to let the congregation offer the plants a little boost.

Moving to Action

In today’s message, Rev. Lee sits down with local DEI advocate, Brandyn Campbell to speak about the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially as it relates to young people, and in schools.

Practicing Hope

IN this return of our Neighbors and Helpers message series, Rev. Lee interviews Jordi Comas from the “Barnstorming PA” podcast.

Us Kids

In the wake of the tragic events in Uvalde, Texas, Rev. Lee opens our annual SpiritFlix series with the movie “Us Kids.” This film follows some of the survivors of the Marjorie Stoneman Douglass school shooting, as they turn to activism.

Telling Fortunes

Today, Rev. Lee, with the help of a YouthSpirit friend, takes us through the activity of creating paper “fortune tellers,” and sharing the results with one another.

A Different Way

Rev. Lee talks today about her decision to reduce her workload temporarily to help prevent burnout. In this honest message, she asks all of us to consider the ways in which we might approach work and responsibilities differently – in a way that helps us continue to both work and care for ourselves. More Than We Know

Rev. Lee begins this sleepy DST morning by reading to us. She reads a story about a leaky faucet, and how the way the leak grew larger felt like a symbol of a person breaking down. She talks about how this feeling might have added to what experts are calling “The Great Resignation.” She also leads us through a talking/journaling activity.
