WellSprings Band, LIVE!

Join us as the WellSprings Band reunites to play – live and in-person! – for the first time in over a year, at the Montgomery School. Come sit outside and enjoy the music on Sunday, June 27th at 1pm, and help us rededicate the gathering space of our beloved spiritual home. Since we’ll be entirely outdoors, we’ve set a rain date for July 11th at 1pm. If you’re excited to join us, you may want to save both dates, on…

Recap: Family Fun at Our Inter-Generational Game Night

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first Inter-Generational game night this past Saturday evening. Our group started off by saying hello to many faces who we have not seen in some time. We played through a few rounds of Skribbl and applied our best artist skills to allow others to guess which word we were drawing. We also played through a round of a Wellsprings themed Kahoot. Members of the congregation can set up their own Kahoot account for free…

Thank You for a Successful MLK Day of Service

Well done, WellSprings! Thanks to your generosity, our team was able to donate hundreds of much needed items to Media Fellowship House. Over the last week, WellSpringers dropped off essentials like diapers, laundry detergent, hand soap, and shampoo at three different locations. WellSpringers also donated a total of $825; all of which was put towards the purchase of more supplies. The YouthBridge Ministry along with the JusticeWorks Team organized this event, which benefitted organizations such as Pathways CFF, Wesley House,…

A Message From Rev. Lee About The Events in Our Nation’s Capitol

As Unitarian Universalists we support democratic values – and today, a small group of people are attacking those values at our US Capitol building, with horrifying force. Many of us are scared, shocked, sad, and angry about what we’re seeing. Together we can join, amidst our heartbreak, and remind each other that what happens next is always up to us. How we speak about what’s happening today, how we engage in conflict, how we defend human rights in our own…

Frontline Worker WellSpringers Recieve Covid Vaccine

On December 22nd, WellSpringer Audrey Wood-Bianchi became one of the first WellSprings members to receive the coronavirus vaccine! Audrey works as a nurse at Lankenau Medical Center, and is one of several frontline medical workers in our community. She says: “I happily and gratefully stayed a bit after my night shift to receive my first Covid vaccine this morning! There’s a bit more light on the horizon this day Feeling hopeful #cheerstohealth #covid19vaccine #scienceiscool” Abundant gratitude this year, for all…

Handmade Cards Delivered to Local Establishments

Thanks to all the WellSpringers who contributed to Jennifer Cadogan Nettingham ‘s Holiday Cheer 2020 project, supported by our YouthSpirit staff and volunteers. Ten families picked up card-making materials at our drive-through event last month, and several more offered to contribute using their own materials. At last count, we had at least 50 cards towards the initial 300 hand-made card goal.  This was an all ages event – kids and grownups alike drew, glued, wrote, and collaged every unique holiday wish.…

Thank You to Our CCF “Goody Bag” Volunteers

WellSpringers stepped up and assembled 200 care packages to send to the students and staff involved with our community partner, Chester County Futures. During our drive-up event, volunteers picked up supplies to assemble treat bags with hot chocolate packs, candy canes, and hand written cards. These are always appreciated by the CCF organization, and we’re so glad we were able to safely continue this tradition in the age of social distancing. Here are some great photos from this year’s project:

WellSprings First Drive Up Event Was a Huge Success!

On November 15th and 16th, members of the WellSprings staff, along with some dedicated volunteers, held our first ever drive up event. The idea behind this event was threefold: All throughout Sunday and Monday afternoon, WellSpringers showed up for a safe, socially-distanced handoff of goodies. In many, many cases, this was the first time we had seen one another in person since March 8th, 2020. We are so glad this event was successful, safe, and full of joy. We hope…

Fall Message Series: “The Cloud Over Everything”

This Sunday, Rev. Ken begins our new message series for Fall: “The Cloud Over Everything.” With little warning, 2020 brought us loss upon loss. Grief is among the most reliable of human experiences, yet it’s rarely discussed in the open – or held and healed in common. In our Fall message series, we’ll explore how to cope with grief, and move through some of its best-known qualities like anger, sadness, denial, bargaining, and acceptance. We’ll gather under the cloud and look up, remembering that…
