Christmas Eve at WellSprings

Join us this Christmas Eve for an all-ages service inspired by the 1946 classic film “It’s A Wonderful Life.” We’re turning our worship space into Bedford Falls for the occasion! We’ll have hot cocoa, singing by candlelight, a special activity and a space for our kids, and a vintage black-and-white photo booth for snapping some unique holiday shots, which you can take with you when you head out for the evening. Our sunset service will take place at 4:30 pm…

American Idols: Our Current Message Series

At the beginning of each message series, our Spiritual Development Ministry compiles a list of resources to help congregants connect more deeply with the messages offered each Sunday. Our current message series is American Idols Many religious traditions include warnings against idolatry: the worship of something mortal, or inanimate, as though it were the most powerful thing in the universe – as if that thing was God, itself. What have we made idols of, today? Each week, we’ll answer that…

This Year’s “WellCome Back” Sunday in Pictures

On Sunday, September 11th, WellSprings celebrated it’s annual “WellCome Back” Sunday – the special service which marks the end of summer and a return to the work, school, and worship schedules we follow through most of the year. This time around, we asked folks to bring in a houseplant for a special ritual. Bell Hall looked amazing with all the greenery. The space really came alive! It was also great getting to see all the cool plants that WellSpringers brought…

Four Small Group “SpringBoards” Coming This Fall!

One of the core experiences of being a WellSpringer is participating in small groups for discussion, connection, learning, and growth. We call these groups Springboards. The pandemic brought many of these important gatherings to a halt, but we are glad to be offering several new Springboards this fall! Listening to Our Lives This is our signature small group (also known as Wellsprings 2.0) where participants explore big questions and timeless spiritual topics together: about Inspiration, God, Community, Suffering and Death, Spiritual…

A New Year of Family Faith Development: A Note From Miss Carol

Every fall at WellSprings, we look forward to the return of our families to Bell Hall, and the return of their 5-12 year old kiddos to YouthSpirit.  It’s been an unpredictable couple of years, hasn’t it?  But YouthSpirit is ready to “WellCome” back friends to our weekly programming on September 18th.  Currently staffed by our two volunteer helpers, a youth helper, and an assistant, our team may be small, but our energy is big!  For now, we’ll meet in one…

A Fond Farewell to Our Drummer, Chris

After 10 dedicated years playing with the WellSprings Band, our drummer Chris St. Angelo is moving away with his family. This past Sunday, we took some time to celebrate all the tremendous talent and heart he’s brought to our music in worship, each week. For the service, Chris chose all the songs, including a brand new song to conclude the service, “Last Hope” by Paramore. (He happened to let it slip that he’d always wanted us to do that song,…

The WellSprings Board is in the process of responding to one of the recommendations from the recent Stewardship for Us review – “Build stewardship culture and capacity, including more options for financial giving; expanding volunteer and staff orientation and engagement around stewardship; and launching an annual stewardship campaign.” The Board has engaged Mark Ewert, who did the initial review, to help with implementation of this recommendation. Curious about what stewardship might look like here at WellSprings? All congregants are welcome to attend this online info…
