This Year’s “WellCome Back” Sunday in Pictures

On Sunday, September 11th, WellSprings celebrated it’s annual “WellCome Back” Sunday – the special service which marks the end of summer and a return to the work, school, and worship schedules we follow through most of the year. This time around, we asked folks to bring in a houseplant for a special ritual. Bell Hall looked amazing with all the greenery. The space really came alive! It was also great getting to see all the cool plants that WellSpringers brought…

This Year, at WellSprings…

We’re kicking off a new congregational year! Read below to get a taste of our themes for worship – and for faith formation for all ages – in the year ahead: American Idols our Fall Message Series Many religious traditions include warnings against idolatry: the worship of something mortal, or inanimate, as though it were the most powerful thing in the universe – as if that thing was God, itself. What have we made idols of, today? Each week, we’ll…

A New Year of Family Faith Development: A Note From Miss Carol

Every fall at WellSprings, we look forward to the return of our families to Bell Hall, and the return of their 5-12 year old kiddos to YouthSpirit.  It’s been an unpredictable couple of years, hasn’t it?  But YouthSpirit is ready to “WellCome” back friends to our weekly programming on September 18th.  Currently staffed by our two volunteer helpers, a youth helper, and an assistant, our team may be small, but our energy is big!  For now, we’ll meet in one…

A Fond Farewell to Our Drummer, Chris

After 10 dedicated years playing with the WellSprings Band, our drummer Chris St. Angelo is moving away with his family. This past Sunday, we took some time to celebrate all the tremendous talent and heart he’s brought to our music in worship, each week. For the service, Chris chose all the songs, including a brand new song to conclude the service, “Last Hope” by Paramore. (He happened to let it slip that he’d always wanted us to do that song,…

Saying Goodbye, to Harry & Ken…

On Sunday, June 26th, our congregation gathered together to bid two very fond farewells: one to our band member Harry Vrooman, who’s been with us on piano since the very first WellSprings service – and one, to our Founding Minister, Rev. Ken Beldon. Our band took one last photo all together with Harry, after a Sunday service featuring two surprise musical tributes: a performance of “A Beautiful Noise” by singers Andrea Tollison and Melissa Davignon, and a moving rendition of…
