Save the Date… for Beth’s Ordination!

As you all know, Beth Monhollen has served our congregation so well, as WellSprings’ first official “Kenneth S. Beldon Ministerial Intern,” joining us in the summer of 2021. Beth is here with us to complete the final step in the ministerial formation process – and now that she has been evaluated by our national denomination and approved for fellowship, she is free to be formally ordained into the Unitarian Universalist ministry.

I am so pleased to share that Beth has asked WellSprings to be her ordaining congregation! In our UU tradition, it is the congregation – not other clergy, or any other denominational body – who ordains (and thus, truly makes) a minister. It’s an honor for WellSprings, after only 16 years gathering as a congregation, to now be hosting our third ordination ceremony, in less than two decades.

Beth’s ordination will be held at 2pm on Sunday, June 18th.  We hope you’ll save the date in your calendars now, and if you’d like to help plan the celebration this summer, please feel free to e-mail me at lee@wellspringsuu.org.

Congratulations WellSprings! You’ve made yet another excellent minister, and we are blessed to send Beth off later this year, well-taught and well-loved, to serve our larger Unitarian Universalist faith.
