Join Us on YouTube For Christmas Eve
Our Christmas Eve services are a beloved tradition at WellSprings, and while things will look a bit different this year, we are still bringing you a charged-full service online. So, please join us for a special service premiering on YouTube at 5 PM on December 24th. If you’ve already received your winter care package, you’ll notice some candles included. We are asking you to light your own candles at home this year, and while we won’t be physically passing the…
The “WellSprings Elves” are on the Move
Over the past few days, some WellSpringers have hopefully found surprises in their mailboxes, on their porches, or even hanging from their doorknobs. Behind the scenes, our staff has been hard at work planning, assembling, and hand delivering a special holiday care package to WellSprings families. If you made it out to our drive-up event in November, you received yours then, but there were about 180 families still on our list. So on that note, staff has been visiting Exton,…
Handmade Cards Delivered to Local Establishments
Thanks to all the WellSpringers who contributed to Jennifer Cadogan Nettingham ‘s Holiday Cheer 2020 project, supported by our YouthSpirit staff and volunteers. Ten families picked up card-making materials at our drive-through event last month, and several more offered to contribute using their own materials. At last count, we had at least 50 cards towards the initial 300 hand-made card goal. This was an all ages event – kids and grownups alike drew, glued, wrote, and collaged every unique holiday wish.…
End of Year Ask from the Generosity & Gratitude Ministry
As this unprecedented year nears its end, the Generosity and Gratitude Ministry would like to know: What are you grateful for at WellSprings? Here’s what we’re asking: Answer the question. Take your answer and compress it down to a quick 5-second answer. Record what you’re grateful for about WellSprings as video. It would be best if you did it in landscape mode, so the video is horizontal, but we’ll accept vertical videos, too. And in your delivery, give it a little…
Thank You to Our CCF “Goody Bag” Volunteers
WellSpringers stepped up and assembled 200 care packages to send to the students and staff involved with our community partner, Chester County Futures. During our drive-up event, volunteers picked up supplies to assemble treat bags with hot chocolate packs, candy canes, and hand written cards. These are always appreciated by the CCF organization, and we’re so glad we were able to safely continue this tradition in the age of social distancing. Here are some great photos from this year’s project:
WellSprings In-Person Small Group Activities Suspended Until Further Notice
WellSprings is continuing to offer Sunday Services on YouTube, as we have since March 15th. We are also offering YouthSpirit, Sunday Coffee Hour, Teen Groups, Mindful Recovery, weekly Mindfulness sessions with Rev. Ken, online lunches with Rev. Lee, and occasional special events, safely, through Zoom or other online means. While these weekly offerings are not changing, The Board of Trustees has made the decision to suspend any and all in-person Small Group activities until further notice. Below is the letter…
WellSprings First Drive Up Event Was a Huge Success!
On November 15th and 16th, members of the WellSprings staff, along with some dedicated volunteers, held our first ever drive up event. The idea behind this event was threefold: All throughout Sunday and Monday afternoon, WellSpringers showed up for a safe, socially-distanced handoff of goodies. In many, many cases, this was the first time we had seen one another in person since March 8th, 2020. We are so glad this event was successful, safe, and full of joy. We hope…
Our Holiday Message Series: “How to Be Afraid”
The writer Audre Lorde once said, “When I dare to be powerful, to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid.” As the Fall season turns to Winter this year, so many of us are coping with helplessness, fear, and dissatisfaction with what is – alongside anxious hope, for the future. The shape of our world in years to come always depends on what we do in the…

Teen Game Nights at WellSprings
Did you know…? Twice a month, our YouthBridge Ministry has been planning and holding virtual game nights for WellSpringers between the ages of 13 and 17. This is a great opportunity for our teens to take a break from distance learning and hectic schedules, and get some (virtual) face time with friends. While games are the main focus, there is always some great conversation sparked by current events, or anything on our teens’ minds. Our next Teen Game Nights have…
It’s Pastor Appreciation Month!
It’s Pastor Appreciation Month, and we’ve never been more grateful for our pastors than we are in 2020. On Tuesday, October 6th, our staff and Board of Trustees came up with a fun way to thank Revs. Lee and Ken for all they do for us: we sent warm cookies right to their doors! Pictured here: cookies, notes, a very surprised Rev. Lee right after the delivery came in the middle of our weekly staff meeting, and Rev. Ken defending…
