On November 15th and 16th, members of the WellSprings staff, along with some dedicated volunteers, held our first ever drive up event.
The idea behind this event was threefold:
- To hand out the latest YouthSpirit packet of learning materials to families
- To supply volunteers with materials for making handmade holiday cards and hot cocoa gift packs for our community partners
- To give each WellSprings family a winter care package – a little piece of the congregation at home with them during the holidays.
All throughout Sunday and Monday afternoon, WellSpringers showed up for a safe, socially-distanced handoff of goodies. In many, many cases, this was the first time we had seen one another in person since March 8th, 2020.
We are so glad this event was successful, safe, and full of joy. We hope that those who made it out to this event left feeling charged full with the charge of the soul.
For those who couldn’t make it out: not to worry! We have something in the works over the coming weeks. We’ll get the care package to you for a safe handoff.
