All are invited to join us this Sunday at 4:30pm, for our traditional candlelit Christmas Eve service, inspired by the Netflix original film “Klaus.” This funny and poignant animated film offers both a new “origin story” for Santa Claus – and reminds us of ways we all can find connection, in deeply divided times.
This service will be in place of our usual 10am Sunday service, and will be the only service that day. If you are planning to join us online, you can watch the livestream here.
This is an all-ages service, meaning there will be no YouthSpirit dismissal. Like last year, we will offer an activity table in Bell Hall for the kids who find it a bit easier to sit through service when their hands and minds are busy. The kids will also be invited, during the service, to help us tell part of our Christmas story!
During our time of generosity, we will take a collection for our Community Benefit Fund, providing emergency assistance to members of WellSprings and folks in our wider community who come to us in need of support, for their basic needs – rent, utility bills, healthcare costs, etc. Every year we replenish the fund with the offering from our Christmas Eve service, so we hope you will be moved to give generously – whether online, by check, or in-person in the hat.
We will end the service with hot cocoa, and a cookie reception. If you have a plate of cookies or other goodies to share, please bring them on Christmas Eve!
Happy Holidays, and we hope to welcome you warmly – in from the cold – on Sunday.
