Meet Yvette, our New Ministerial Intern!

Late last month, we announced a pleasant surprise at WellSprings: Yvette McDonnell, who serves on staff as Congregational Life Coordinator at the nearby Main Line Unitarian Church (MLUC), will be joining us this year for a part-time “joint” Ministerial Internship! In our denomination, an internship in a UU congregation is among the last steps required before ordination – when a ministry student finally becomes a “Rev.” WellSprings has a long history as a UU Teaching Congregation, and Yvette will be…

This Year, At WellSprings…

As always this Summer, we’re busy planning for the year ahead at WellSprings! Our Fall message series begins on September 7th – but you can scroll down to get a taste of the conversations we’ll be having (on Sunday mornings, in YouthSpirit, in our small groups, etc.) all throughout the year… Known By Name our Fall Message Series Is there a story behind your name? Does it hold a grand tale of family migration – or a tribute to an ancestor…

Bring a Friend Along for “Neighbors & Helpers”

Our summertime tradition at WellSprings returns… our annual “Neighbors & Helpers” message series is back, starting August 3rd! Every summer, we invite guests from the community to join our preacher for a conversation, during each Sunday service in August – to help us get to know our neighbors, and to hear about their experience of life in this corner of the world that we share. We know that even though we live close to each other, we don’t all have…

HeartWorks Team Continues to Shine

WellSprings is a thriving community with many wonderful teams. While each team has an important role to play within WellSprings and our surrounding communities, we’d like to highlight one team hard at work every year: The HeartWorks Team. The mission of the HeartWorks Team is to commit to heartfelt acts of conscious service grounded in compassion and respect. Through life’s endless cycle of giving and receiving, we connect with each other and with the Sacred. Led by Sandy Tucker, this…

From Rev. Lee: A New Year at WellSprings

Dear WellSpringers, Early in June, we let you know that Beth Trandahl’s role on our Staff Team would change in the coming year. Today we are pleased to announce that, effective July 1st, Beth will begin serving as our Community Engagement Coordinator. In keeping with the limitations of our budget – and Beth’s request to let go of her regular Sunday morning hours – this will be a 12 hour per week position. As Community Engagement Coordinator, Beth will work…

Join us for SpiritFlix in July!

Each Sunday’s service will draw wisdom from a different movie or show – check out our lineup for July and mark your calendars so you don’t miss any of your favorites! We hope to see you this summer, Sundays at 10am. Join us at 10 AM each Sunday in person at the Montgomery School, or online at our YouTube Channel.

A Goodbye Letter, From Nick

Join us at 10am this Sunday, June 29th, as we celebrate Nick Sanchez – and his completion of two years as our Ministerial Intern, here at WellSprings! During the service, we will all participate in a Ritual of Sending, to bless Nick as he moves forward in his ministerial formation – followed by a goodbye celebration (with cake!) during our coffee hour. You can read more about our plans to recognize Nick, and his next steps on the path to…

Our Third Year at Pride!

In the face of ongoing attacks on the sacredness of LGBTQ+ people, our local Chester County PrideFest was louder, larger, and more alive than ever this year. With about 20 WellSpringers staffing our table throughout the day, folks from beyond our congregation came by to ask questions: about our services, our beliefs, to take flyers and stickers and affirmation mirrors – and of course, to be blessed with glitter and abundant love, by our volunteers. (The rainfall in the late…

Congregational Meeting Recap

This past Sunday our Board of Trustees led our annual Congregational Meeting, after Service. You can view the annual Congregational Meeting at the YouTube link above. The meeting starts at 01:20:30. Included in the meeting were reports by the Board and the Minister, an update on our financial position, and our 2025-2026 Stewardship Campaign. Our congregation offered gratitude to our outgoing Board President Tonie Scullion for her outstanding work. Presented during the meeting were the Congregational Goals for 2025-2026. They…

A Final Report, From Stewardship

Dear WellSprings family, With grateful hearts, the Stewardship Ministry is wrapping up this year’s pledge campaign. Thank you to everyone who already made a pledge commitment for our next fiscal year (July 2025 – June 2026)!  Each dollar you pledge lights the way for everything we do together – singing with the band, gathering in Bell Hall and online, caring for our children and teens, supporting our ministers and staff, and serving our wider community. Because 95% of our budget comes…

Farewell to our Ministerial Intern, Nick Sanchez

Our Ministerial Intern, Nick Sanchez, has been a steady, centered, and grounding presence within our community since his arrival in September 2023. Nick’s time with us has been a true gift, and we’ve all witnessed his growth as a preacher and a pastor in his two years serving, and learning, alongside all of us at WellSprings. Nick joined us for a two-year internship as part of his training for Unitarian Universalist ministry – and now, his time with us is…
