On Sunday, September 7th, WellSprings will celebrate our annual “WellCome Back” Sunday – the special service that marks the end of summer and a return for all to work, school and worship schedules we follow throughout the year.
This special service is an all-ages one with special elements to that make it extra family friendly. As with all of our all-ages services, we will have a special story read by Miss Carol, our YouthSpirit Director, and other helpers.
Another special part of our service will be the “Blessing of the Backpacks.” All students (of any age!) are asked to bring their backpacks to Bell Hall to be blessed during our Sunday service. Our congregation will help to send some good energy out to these backpacks for a new school year.
Following service, backpack-wearers will be invited to choose a special gift from the congregation. We will have stickers, keychains, and other small items to remind students of the love from our WellSprings community as they go about their daily lives.
There will be joy for everyone – backpack-wearing or otherwise – after service ends. We will have lots of bubbles in many amazing forms for all to enjoy. To remind our community that experiencing joy is an important part of spirituality.
