Drop-In Meditation
Just as she did last summer, Rev. Lee will be offering a Summertime Meditation Drop-In, every Thursday night, throughout the summer. We’ll gather outside, at the Outdoor Classroom on the Montgomery School’s campus, from 6-7pm. The first half-hour will be set aside for simple, silent meditation practice, along with a brief introduction and check-in. The optional second half hour is for anyone who’d like to sit, chat, and connect socially in a beautiful space. There are wood benches with backs in the…

Showing Up Against Racism SpringBoard
Back in the Fall of 2020, we created a new small group at WellSprings in response to the huge wave of national attention on racial justice issues after the murder of George Floyd. Nearly 30 WellSprings members joined us – along with another dozen for our second year of the group in 2021 – and left with new skills, knowledge, and commitments to continue showing up against racism. In 2023, we’d like to offer the same space for growth, learning, and…

The Ordination of Beth Monhollen
Beth Monhollen has served our congregation so well, as WellSprings’ first official “Kenneth S. Beldon Ministerial Intern,” joining us in the summer of 2021. Beth is here with us to complete the final step in the ministerial formation process – and now that she has been evaluated by our national denomination and approved for fellowship, she is free to be formally ordained into the Unitarian Universalist ministry. We are so pleased to share that Beth has asked WellSprings to be her ordaining congregation!…

“The Gravity of God” SpringBoard
A core belief at Wellsprings is that “we can experience God without being able to define God” — and yet, we also come to know the Divine “by living fully, loving generously and being who we are called to be.” Sharing our experiences of God with each other can deepen our faith, even as those experiences may be different. In this group, we will deepen our understandings of God through the metaphor of science. By delving deeply into scientific concepts…
