It almost seems unreal, now that it\u2019s here, doesn\u2019t it? So much anticipation, worry, hope, fear\u2026 the action and the collective prayers of our hands and hearts, over these past few years as we\u2019ve realized the preciousness and fragility of our democracy. We\u2019ve been reminded, over and over, that this is our country \u2013 all of us, together \u2013 and only we have the power to shape its present, and its future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As Unitarian Universalists<\/a>, we believe that every person is beloved and deserves to have their voice heard \u2013 particularly in discussions about how to organize our society. We all deserve to live together, in safety and in peace. It is that faith we share \u2013 in the inherent belovedness of all people \u2013 that undergirds our commitments to democracy. All people should have a say in the decisions that affect their lives, and all people are worthy of equal protection and care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Our Sunday services on Nov. 3rd<\/sup> and Nov. 10th<\/sup> will both speak to this moment we\u2019re in \u2013 as we remember, all throughout these next two months, to \u201ckeep on the lookout for signs of something better<\/a>.\u201d If you have friends who are scared, concerned, or just in need of a place where they can feel a little bit less alone \u2013 to be surrounded by a community that shares their values, in these times \u2013 I hope you will invite them to join you on a Sunday morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That stretch of time, between Sundays though\u2026 it might be a long seven days. So I\u2019m also writing to offer a few opportunities to connect with other communities that share our values, in the week to come. Feel free to attend together with other WellSpringers (you can use our Facebook Oasis<\/a> group to connect, or simply reach out to folks you know). I will personally be helping to lead the Wednesday night vigil and public witness with our new local coalition, Love Thy Neighbor Chester County<\/a>, and band member Rodney Whittenberg will be one of the musicians leading us in song, that night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Here are a few opportunities, to gather:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
