Beth Monhollen – announced the creation of a new fund at WellSprings.

The Future Fund is an investment in WellSprings’ future, created on the occasion of our first ministerial Installation, and intended to honor our congregation’s founding era by planning for the era to come. Gifts given to the Future Fund will not be used for our normal operating budget, but for future-oriented projects that help sustain our community, such as seeding a large purchase, or earning ongoing interest from an invested fund.

We established this Fund with gifts from our Installation offering, totaling more than $1,400 – the first gift made, by our whole community, to support the next generation of WellSprings in this way. The Future Fund is available as an option for you to direct donations at any time, including one-time special gifts, memorial donations in honor of loved ones, and legacy gifts from WellSprings members and friends.

The creation of this Fund is an important step towards one of our Congregational Goals for the current year, which is to “Define Our New Era.” This year we will begin to discuss, as a community, what it will mean – and what it will take – for WellSprings to be here for the long-term. We will notice and name what we are building together, as we move past the founding years of our congregation, and how we might plan now for future growth.

Our Board of Trustees voted to establish this Fund after extensive consultation over the summer with our own Stewardship Ministry, and with our consultant from Stewardship for Us, Mark Ewert. Over the coming year, they will work to create specific guidelines for how resources from the Fund might be invested and used, in the years to come.

You can donate directly to the WellSprings Future Fund at https://onrealm.org/wellsprings/-/form/give/install.

At our Installation service in September, our former ministerial intern – the Rev.
