{"id":7881,"date":"2024-04-16T14:24:22","date_gmt":"2024-04-16T18:24:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.wellspringsuu.org\/new\/?p=7881"},"modified":"2024-05-28T17:51:45","modified_gmt":"2024-05-28T21:51:45","slug":"join-us-for-belonging-sunday-this-weekend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wellspringsuu.org\/new\/join-us-for-belonging-sunday-this-weekend\/","title":{"rendered":"Don&#8217;t Miss Our Big Belonging Sunday, this Weekend!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>You won\u2019t want to miss this Sunday, as WellSprings observes <strong>three<\/strong> big events in the life-cycle of our congregation: the welcoming of new members, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/r\/WS2024pledge\">final day<\/a> of our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wellspringsuu.org\/new\/building-our-beloved-community-a-letter-from-the-stewardship-ministry\/\">2024 Pledge Drive<\/a>, <em>and <\/em>the announcement of results in our congregation\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSdQ7JwS1AJwA-fS5rb0sIQZblQ_mXZhfLZgnnbPrggQH7k-mg\/viewform\">vote<\/a>, to call Rev. Lee Paczulla as our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wellspringsuu.org\/new\/calling-a-minister-faq\/\">first-ever settled minister<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It all happens during a special, annual service we call \u201cBelonging Sunday\u201d \u2013 a celebration of our WellSprings community, where we also recognize and formally welcome all the new members who have joined in the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Belonging Sunday is an all-ages service, so the Big Blue Rug will be out on the floor in Bell Hall, providing a special place for kids to gather and listen to a story shared by Ms. Carol. Kids are invited to stay with us for the entire service, and there will be no YouthSpirit dismissal. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wellspringsuu.org\/new\/people\/carol-breslin\/\" data-type=\"ctc_person\" data-id=\"3343\">Ms. Carol<\/a> will also be looking for some young volunteers to help out in various ways, so e-mail her now, or just find her when you arrive if you\u2019re interested in being part of Sunday\u2019s service!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wellspringsuu.org\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Congregation-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7732\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wellspringsuu.org\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Congregation-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.wellspringsuu.org\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Congregation-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.wellspringsuu.org\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Congregation-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.wellspringsuu.org\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Congregation.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Belonging Sunday does give us the opportunity to welcome our newest members, but it&#8217;s also an opportunity for current members to reflect on their own sense of belonging, and how WellSprings adds to, and fits into, their lives right now. Taking this time to consider and recommit each year is a practice which, we hope, helps our members connect to the deeper meaning of being one small part of this larger community we share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you haven&#8217;t yet filled out your Membership Survey &amp; Stewardship Pledge, you can do so online before Sunday morning.
