Volunteer with YouthSpirit!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>For some time now, we have been, and continue to be in need of volunteers for the WellSprings nursery and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wellspringsuu.org\/new\/youth\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"162\">YouthSpirit<\/a>.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pandemic caused so many changes in our lives: new schedules, new routines, new definitions for &#8220;connection.&#8221; It&#8217;s understandable that they way many families interact with WellSprings looks different today than it did a few years ago.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are also finding our way back, as a congregation. We have a core group of young, inquisitive friends who regularly attend our YouthSpirit gatherings.&nbsp; And while the nursery has been quiet lately, we will continue to offer this service every Sunday to welcome new and returning families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;re seeking a way to give back to our community &#8211;&nbsp;something&nbsp;that helps WellSprings and our UU faith&nbsp;<em>literally&nbsp;<\/em>grow into the future &#8211; please consider joining our team.&nbsp; YouthSpirit and the Nursery are part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wellspringsuu.org\/new\/more\/ministries\/youthspirit-ministry\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"2869\">YouthBridge Core Ministry<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">volunteering in the nursery<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Nursery volunteers are responsible for a 90 minute shift caring for our children ages 0-5, from 9:45 to 11:15 on Sunday mornings. You can volunteer as often or as sparingly as you&#8217;d like.&nbsp; Folks understandably don&#8217;t want to miss our wonderful Sunday messages, which is why we like to have a bench of volunteers we can rotate through, allowing everyone the chance to attend as many Sunday services as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Volunteering for YouthSpirit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>YouthSpirit volunteers can expect a shorter but busier time commitment on Sundays, helping children ages 5-12.\u00a0 No preparation is necessary, just join our gathering about midway through service, and stay for a few minutes afterwards to help cleanup.\u00a0 A YouthSpirit volunteer can typically expect to help out on Sunday mornings from about 10:30-11:15am.\u00a0 We&#8217;ll schedule you for as many or as few Sundays as works for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Youth Volunteers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested WellSprings youth, between 13-17 years of age, would be enthusiastically considered for a YouthSpirit helper role.&nbsp;This can be a great way to log community hours for various school and club requirements, and to help out WellSprings friends younger than themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Paid positions <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested WellSpringers aged 18+&nbsp;are encouraged to apply for this fall&#8217;s anticipated staff opening in either YouthSpirit and\/or the nursery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are interested in helping out, or simply want to learn more, <a href=\"mailto:carolb@wellspringsuu.org\">please reach out to Carol Breslin<\/a>, our YouthSpirit Director. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank you, as always, for your support. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For some time now, we have been, and continue to be in need of volunteers for the WellSprings nursery and YouthSpirit.&nbsp;&nbsp; The pandemic caused so many changes in our lives: new schedules, new routines, new definitions for &#8220;connection.&#8221; It&#8217;s understandable that they way many families interact with WellSprings looks different today than it did a few years ago.&nbsp;&nbsp; We are also finding our way back, as a congregation.
