As you all know, Beth Monhollen has served our congregation so well, as WellSprings’ first official “Kenneth S. Beldon\u00a0Ministerial Intern<\/a>,” joining us in\u00a0the summer of 2021<\/a>. Beth is here with us to complete the final step in the ministerial formation process – and now that she has been evaluated by our national denomination and approved for fellowship, she is free to be formally ordained into the Unitarian Universalist ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am so pleased to share that Beth has asked WellSprings to be her ordaining congregation! In our UU tradition, it is the congregation – not other clergy, or any other denominational body – who ordains (and thus, truly makes) a minister. It’s an honor for WellSprings, after only 16 years gathering as a congregation, to now be hosting our third<\/em> ordination ceremony, in less than two decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beth’s ordination will be held at 2pm on Sunday, June 18th<\/sup><\/strong>.\u00a0 We hope you’ll save the date in your calendars now,\u00a0and if you’d like to help plan the celebration this summer, please feel free to e-mail me at lee@wellspringsuu.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Congratulations WellSprings!\u00a0You’ve made yet another excellent minister, and we are blessed to send Beth off later this year, well-taught and well-loved, to serve our larger Unitarian Universalist faith.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
