Speaking Up and Showing Up Against Racism

Speaking Up and Showing Up Against Racism

In 2020, we’ve seen a huge new wave of national attention focused on racial justice. More people are waking up to the need for deep, spiritually rooted and systemic change, and are wondering what they can do. This small group will be different than most at WellSprings. Recognizing the long-term nature of this work, we will gather twice monthly from September through February for both discussion and practice sessions. In between sessions, participants will be asked to read, watch, and listen to various sources, and to take a monthly action. Our goal is not to “complete” something, but rather for each person to learn, grow, find their part in this work, and leave the group equipped and energized to continue it.

Facilitators

Jenn Nettingham, Rev. Lee Paczulla, Tonie Scullion, & Rodney Whittenberg

Dates

Discussion Sessions will be held in the afternoon on the 4th Sunday of each month, beginning September 27th and ending February 28th; smaller groups will meet in monthly Practice Sessions, scheduled with your group mates.
